Strawberry jam, the purest, simplest jam you will ever make, I promise

I love strawberry jam.  I don't have time, ever, for pectin, canning jars, sterilizing or futzing at all.  I do, however, have time to make strawberry jam at my whim, whenever the mood hits.  NOW, you do to.  This is how I do it:

DRIVEBY RECIPE; TRACY'S STRAWBERRY JAM

INGREDIENTS

1  lb strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
2-4 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on how tart you like it)

METHOD AND LITTLE MOVIE ABOUT IT

Chop up the strawberries, throw them in a pot.  Cook them over medium high heat till they are broken down, about 5 mins.  Add the sugar and lemon juice and continue to cook down until it's thick and leaves a clear path on the bottom of the pot.
IF you like smoother jam, use a potato masher and knock down the chunks of strawberry.
IF you like chunkier jam, leave them large.

THAT my lovies, is the entire thing.

Go get some strawberries (or any other fruit you like) and make a couple of little jars of jam.

/enjoy
